Judging is based on both performance (e.g., ROAS, CPA, incremental GMV) and creative excellence (storytelling, innovation, strategy). All entries are self-reported, and the top 20 submissions will be vetted against TikTok’s performance benchmarks before final judging.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Ignite Automation Challenge (the “Contest” or “Promotion”) is a competition presented by TikTok Inc. (the “Sponsor”) that challenges TikTok For Business Customers to utilize TikTok’s automation tools to create and run an ad campaign to support their business. Three (3) winners will be determined based on their overall campaign performance and their creative use of the automation tools. See Rule 4 for information on how to enter and Rule 7 for prize details.
1. ELIGIBILITY: This Contest is open only to TikTok For Business Customers, who are physically located within the 50 United States or the District of Columbia (excluding CO, MD, NE, ND, VT). Customers must be based in U.S. markets where TikTok campaigns are permitted. A representative (natural person) must be designated by each customer to register for the Contest and will be deemed the Entrant (“Entrant”). Entrant must be a legal resident of one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia, be legal age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence and must be authorized to represent the customer. Void in CO, MD, NE, ND, VT and where prohibited or restricted by law. TikTok, Inc., its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, promotion agencies, including Marden-Kane, Inc., and each of their respective directors, officers, employees and assigns (collectively “Released Parties”) and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each (whether related or not) are not eligible. Also ineligible to participate are any parties who are under any obligation, contractual or otherwise, that would prohibit the Entrant from accepting a prize. Entrants must comply with any employer rules or requirements for participation.
2. AGREEMENT TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES: Participation in this Contest constitutes Entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor’s and Judges’ decisions which are final and binding in all matters related to this Contest. Determination of winners is subject to eligibility verification as noted herein. Receipt of a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all applicable requirements.
3. ENTRY PERIOD: The Contest begins on October 15, 2025 and ends at 11:59:59 PM PT on December 1, 2025 (the “Entry Period”). The Sponsor runs the official clock for the Contest and will solely determine the time by which an entry is received.
4. HOW TO ENTER: Beginning October 15, 2025, visit TikTokignite.com (the “Content Site”) and follow the instructions to complete the Contest entry form. Entrant must provide all required information on the entry form, including details of a 2025 ad campaign that utilized at least one (1) of TikTok’s automation solutions (the “Entry” or “Submission”). Entries must be submitted via the Contest Site and received by 11:59:59 PM PT on December 1, 2025. Entries must comply with all Entry Requirements, and the instructions set forth on the Contest Site (which are incorporated herein by reference). Determination of compliance will be in the sole discretion of the Sponsor and the Judges, whose decisions are final.
Entry Requirements
- Customer must have a valid TikTok Ads Account in good standing.
- Ad campaign must meet a minimum campaign spend threshold of $5,000.
- Ad campaign must utilize at least one of the following TikTok automation tools: Smart+, GMV Max, or Symphony and run in calendar year 2025.
- Submission must not, in the sole judgment of Sponsor or Judges, infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party, including but not limited to, copyrights or trademarks owned by others.
- Content submitted cannot contain material or any element that is unlawful, or otherwise violate any applicable federal, state, or local laws, rules, treaty, or regulations and must comply with TikTok For Business Terms, Policies and Guidelines.
- By entering, Entrant represents and warrants that (i) he/she has obtained all of the necessary rights, licenses, and permissions from any person who may have helped or participated in the creation of the ad campaign/Entry; (ii) that the Entrant has the right/permission to agree to these Official Rules and to grant the rights referred to in these Official Rules (free from any encumbrances and/or third-party rights); (iii) that the Entry conforms to these Official Rules, the requirements of the Contest Site and is not subject to any third-party agreement(s); and (iv) that the Sponsor or its agencies will not be required to pay or incur any sums to any person or entity, including without limitation, any copyright collecting societies or holders of copyrights, neighboring rights, or moral rights, or to persons representing such, as a result of Sponsor’s (or its agent’s) use or exploitation of entry materials or rights therein.
- By entering, Entrant expressly grants Sponsor certain rights to use the submission in marketing and promotion.
- By entering, Entrants acknowledge compliance with these Official Rules including all Entry Requirements.
- This Contest may not be combined with, or used in connection with, any other “ad credit-” specific promotions sponsored by TikTok.
Sponsor or Administrator reserves the right to disqualify any Entry for any reason, in its sole and absolute discretion, including the determination that an entry fails to satisfy any of the Entry Requirements or is inconsistent with the goals, image, or policies of the Sponsor. No part of a Submission will be returned. Any Entry not submitted in accordance with the instructions provided on the Contest Site (which are incorporated herein by reference) will not be considered for the Contest, and none of the Released Parties shall bear any responsibility for any such Entry.
5. JUDGING AND WINNER DETERMINATION: Submissions will be reviewed by representatives of the Sponsor to determine up to three (3) winners based on overall campaign performance and creative excellence. In the event of a tie, a judge determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion will re-evaluate the tied Entries to break the tie.
In addition, an “honorable mention” will be recognized in each of the following campaign
categories (recognition only):
- Smart+ Rookie – First-time using any Smart+ solution (Catalog, App, Cost Cap, or Lead Gen) that delivered strong results.
- Smart+ Standout – Existing users of any Smart+ solution (Catalog, App, Cost Cap, or Lead Gen) that delivered strong results.
- GMV Max Rookie – First-time using GMV Max that delivered strong results.
- GMV Max Standout – Existing user of GMV Max that delivered strong results.
- Better Together – Strategy that successfully combined Smart+ Catalog + GMV Max to drive stronger business results.
- Season of Scale – Holiday-season campaigns that drove measurable performance and creative excellence. This category funnels into the 3rd Place Grand Prize award (Holiday Emporium).
6. NOTIFICATION AND VERIFICATION PROCESS: Finalists will be notified on or about January 14, 2026 via email and may be required to provide additional documentation in order to validate eligibility and/or execute additional documentation with regard to the use of the Entry materials, at Sponsor’s sole discretion. If it is determined that any Entry has not complied with these Official Rules, Administrator is unable to contact a finalist within a reasonable time period, finalist has failed to properly execute and return any required documents within the specified time period, or has made false statements, or if a finalist declines the prize, then such Entry will be disqualified and the Entry with the next highest ranking will be notified, time permitting. Administrator/Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any potential finalist/winner at any time, in their sole discretion, in the event circumstances arise that would constitute a breach of these Official Rules or otherwise. It is Entrant’s sole responsibility to comply with his/her customer’s policies. Sponsor will not be party to any disputes or actions related to this matter.
One (1) First Prize – a 3-day/2-night trip to Los Angeles for 2 colleagues on a date specified by the Sponsor. Trip includes round-trip, coach air transportation from a major commercial airport near winner’s home to Los Angeles, CA, 2 nights’ hotel accommodations (one room/double occupancy), a full-day content creation workshop with curated creators as determined by the Sponsor, TopView ad placement valued at approximately $50,000, and a VIP dinner. The prize has an approximate retail value of up to $150,000.
One (1) Second Prize – a 3-day/2-night trip to Los Angeles for 2 colleagues on a date specified by the Sponsor. Trip includes round-trip, coach air transportation from a major commercial airport near winner’s home to Los Angeles, CA, 2 nights’ hotel accommodations (one room/double occupancy), a half-day content creation workshop with curated creators as determined by the Sponsor, ad credits valued at $20,000, and a VIP dinner. The prize has an approximate retail value of up to $80,000.
One (1) Third Prize – a product placement package featuring winner’s brand logos, etc., at TikTok’s Holiday Emporium in Grand Central, New York on December 5, 2025, and ad credits valued at $10,000. The prize has an approximate retail value of up to $60,000.
General Prize Conditions: If the winner resides within a 100-mile radius of the trip destination, Sponsor reserves the right to provide a $100 UBER credit in lieu of air transportation. The actual value of a prize is subject to price fluctuations in the consumer marketplace and will depend on winner’s point of departure and travel dates at time of booking. The value of the prize stated herein is based on the fair market value at the time the Official Rules are published. Winner is not entitled to any difference between the ARV stated herein and the value of the prize at the time the prize is awarded. If a winner elects to travel without a guest, no additional compensation will be awarded for the guest portion of the prize. Winners are responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes.
Travel must take place on dates specified by Sponsor or the prize will be forfeited. All travelers must possess required travel documents, i.e., valid government-issued photo ID. (Note: REAL ID requirements for travel are in effect as of May 7, 2025. You can visit your state’s driver’s licensing agency website to check status and see if your current driver’s license or state ID meets REAL ID standards). Travel must be made through the Sponsor’s agent on a carrier of Sponsor’s choice and is subject to availability. Winner and guest must travel on the same itinerary. Winner and guest are solely responsible for all other expenses not specifically set forth herein, including but not limited to luggage fees, meals, additional transportation, souvenirs, parking and other incidentals and items of a personal nature. Hotel may require the winner or guest be at least 21 years of age to check-in; a major credit card will be required at check-in to cover any incidental charges. All prize details not specified in these Official Rules will be determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. Limit one prize per customer. Prize consists of only the items specifically listed as part of the prize.
Participation in a workshop or VIP dinner is subject to the restrictions and requirements of the venue and the organizers, as applicable. The Released Parties are not responsible for any unclaimed, lost, mutilated or stolen ticket prizes; nor will they be replaced. The Released Parties and/or any other relevant party reserve the right to revoke the full or partial prize, and/or remove or deny entry to the winner and/or a guest of winner who may be deemed to be a safety risk or who engages in a non-sportsman like or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other person at any prize-related venue. In no event will the Released Parties provide any additional compensation to any Entrant other than the prize offered as stated herein. Prize components may not be resold, offered for resale, or used for any commercial or promotional purpose whatsoever. Any such resale or commercial or promotional use may result in disqualification and prize forfeiture.
The components of this prize are subject to change based on local health and safety guidelines at the time of booking. If any portion of the prize is unable to be utilized as planned for reasons including, but not limited to, scheduling conflicts, venue operation, cancellations, postponements, delays, an event of force majeure (any “acts of God”, natural catastrophes, public enemies, war, acts of terrorism, civil commotion, riot, strikes or labor difficulties, lockout, judicial or local, state or federal government order, regulation, policy, work stoppage or other requirement of law, or national emergencies or any other cause beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control), an unforeseeable health event (e.g., pandemic or epidemic), then the Sponsor will have no obligation to award compensation in lieu thereof. Sponsor will have no obligation to award compensation in lieu thereof if a prize-related event is canceled or postponed. No refund or compensation will be made in the event of the cancellation or delay of any flight except at the sole discretion of Sponsor. Travel is subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this Contest, and those set forth by the airline carrier as detailed in the passenger ticket contract.
No substitutions, cash equivalents or transfer of prize permitted except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor, who reserves the right where lawful to substitute a prize or prize component with one of comparable or greater value. Sponsor is not responsible for damage or loss of any portion of a prize after it has been delivered to a confirmed winner. Sponsor makes no warranties, and hereby disclaims any and all warranties, expressed or implied, concerning any prize furnished by third parties in connection with the Contest. Prize may vary from what has been advertised, pictured, etc.
8. GENERAL CONDITIONS: All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. All submitted information is subject to verification. Sponsor may assign, delegate, subcontract or transfer any of its rights or obligations hereunder and may authorize any direct or indirect affiliate of Sponsor to act as Sponsor’s agent for purposes of this Agreement, including fulfillment of prizes. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner, the Entry will be deemed to have been made by the customer account named on the winning entry. If a dispute cannot be resolved to Sponsor’s satisfaction, the Entry in question may be disqualified in Sponsor’s sole discretion.
9. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: Entrants producing and submitting materials for consideration in this Contest will do so without compensation and at their own risk. By entering, all participants, including but not limited to each Entrant, and other participants that may collaborate on an Entry, release, discharge and hold harmless Released Parties from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind (including damages caused or claimed to be caused) arising from or in connection with this Contest, the use of any Contest Entry, or the acceptance or use of any Prize. Released Parties are not responsible or liable for any of the following: (a) electronic transmissions, Entries that are late, incomplete, inaudible, illegible, damaged, garbled, destroyed, misdirected or not received by Sponsor or its agents for any reason; (b) any problems or technical malfunctions, errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects, delays in operation or transmission, communication failures and/or human error that may occur in the transmission, receipt or processing of Entries or related materials; or for destruction of or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, Entries or related material; (c) failed or unavailable hardware, network, software or telephone transmissions, damage to any person’s computer and/or its contents related to or resulting from participation in this Contest; or (d) causes beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control that jeopardize the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest; (e) any printing errors in these Official Rules, the Contest Site, or in any advertisements, materials, or correspondence in connection with this Contest; or (f) any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property misappropriation or infringement attributable to Entrant/or any Entry submitted. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend this Contest should virus, bugs, fraud, hacking, or technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the Contest, or if other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor corrupt the administration or security of the Contest. In such cases, notice to this effect will be posted on the Contest Site and the eligible Entries received prior to cancellation, modification, or suspension or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor may be judged to determine winners. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
10. OWNERSHIP OF ENTRY/GRANT OF RIGHTS: The Entrant will retain ownership of all intellectual and industry property rights in all materials submitted to the Contest. However, by submitting an Entry, Entrant waives all rights that may preclude Sponsor from using Entry and related materials or information. Submission of an Entry grants Sponsor, its agencies, and affiliate companies, to the extent allowed by law, the irrevocable right to use, publish, adapt, assign, edit, dispose of, and/or modify such Entry and the concepts embodied therein in any way, in commerce and in any and all media worldwide, without limitation or compensation to the Entrant or his/her affiliated Partner Company. By submitting an Entry and/or accepting a prize, Entrant/winner gives permission for the Sponsor and its designees to use the Entrant’s/winner’s name, voice, actual or simulated likeness, Entry and biographical information along with the names of the entities named on their Entry (including, without limitation, for advertising and promotional purposes) in perpetuity, throughout the universe, in all media whether now known or hereafter devised, without further review, notice, approval or compensation unless prohibited by law.
11. GOVERNING LAW/JURISDICTION: All federal, state and local laws and regulations are applicable. THE CALIFORNIA COURTS (STATE AND FEDERAL) SHALL HAVE SOLE JURISDICTION OF ANY CONTROVERSIES REGARDING THE CONTEST AND THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA SHALL GOVERN THE CONTEST. EACH ENTRANT WAIVES ANY AND ALL OBJECTIONS TO JURISDICTION AND VENUE IN THOSE COURTS FOR ANY REASON AND HEREBY SUBMITS TO THE JURISDICTION OF THOSE COURTS. Claims may not be resolved through any form of class action. Entrant agrees that any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to the lower of either reasonable or actual out of pocket costs incurred, including any costs associated with participation in this Contest but in no event attorneys’ fees; and under no circumstances will Entrants/winners be permitted to obtain awards for and Entrants/winners hereby waive all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for the lower of either reasonable or actual out-of-pocket expenses and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. If any provision of these rules is invalid under the law, rules or regulations of a particular state, it will only apply to the extent permitted. By entering and participating in the Contest, Entrants hereby expressly agree and accept that for all that is related to the interpretation, performance and enforcement of these Official Rules, each of them expressly submit themselves to the laws of the United States of America and to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in the County of Los Angeles, in the State of California, expressly waiving to any other jurisdiction that could correspond to them by virtue of their present or future domicile or by virtue of any other cause.
12. PERSONAL DATA: Information collected for this Contest is subject to TikTok for Business’ Privacy Policy. Your personal data will be stored in the United States.
